What you’ll be doing…

 

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will oversee the daily management of Commercial and Supply Chain Managers and their Assistants, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

 

You will ensure that all commercial team activities align with established procedures and oversee the development and delivery of a robust Commercial and Contract Strategy.

 

You will manage stakeholder engagement, addressing risks related to Contract Delivery, Suppliers, and the Supply Chain.
 

Support the Commercial Lead by reviewing procurement routes and ensuring alignment with project schedules. During the execution phase, you will lead contract management, ensuring compatibility across projects, including Scope of Work, Prices, Key Personnel, and Contract Administration.
 

Finally, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the closeout phase of each contract, ensuring all requirements are met and finalised.



Who you are…
 

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager with a proven track record in the NEC suit of contracts, in particular options C, D, E & G, as well as experience managing major projects. A strong understanding of UK law and its implications on contracts and commercial operations is essential for this role.
 

You will have expertise in procurement, contract performance measurement, risk management, change control, and claims management. You should be comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and manage commercial strategies and contractual agreements.

Be able to take a strategic, big-picture approach, with the ability to devise and deliver innovative commercial solutions that drive project success. With experience working with design contracts and a background in the M&E sector.
 

Membership in professional bodies such as RICS, CICES, IOB, or CIPS (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
