As Head of Service and Digital Operations, you'll drive innovation, ensure operational excellence, and support the delivery of world-class digital solutions in one of the UK's most complex and ambitious energy projects.
The Opportunity…
Reporting to the Digital Director, you’ll lead a team of experts managing IT service delivery, testing, governance, and cyber assurance.
You’ll oversee the development of shared digital services across HPC and SZC, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory standards, including Nuclear Site Licence Conditions.
This pivotal role empowers you to define and execute a roadmap that supports business priorities, fosters collaboration, and enhances service delivery for critical infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing…
- Driving Service Excellence: Lead IT service management, ensuring efficient delivery of infrastructure, applications, and enterprise services.
- Shaping the Roadmap: Define and execute a strategy for shared digital services, aligned with HPC and SZC business needs.
- Fostering Innovation: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning across teams and projects.
- Ensuring Compliance: Oversee cyber assurance, testing, and delivery governance to meet regulatory requirements and manage risks effectively.
- Leading Teams: Manage and inspire a team of managers, contractors, and third-party vendors to deliver exceptional results.
- Building Relationships: Partner with senior stakeholders, regulators, and vendors to align digital operations with business goals.
- Optimising Resources: Manage a budget, ensuring cost-effective service delivery and value creation.
Who you are…
You’re an experienced leader in IT service delivery, with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering results in high-pressure environments. You bring:
- A degree in a relevant field, with significant experience in IT service delivery for major infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in Digital Operations, including service management, testing, business change, governance, and cyber assurance.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset, capable of simplifying complex issues and creating actionable roadmaps.
- Resilience and adaptability, thriving in dynamic, multicultural environments.
- Desirable: Experience in the nuclear industry and familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
