The Opportunity...

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager through monthly accounts close, financial statement production, and regular cash forecasting. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, producing journal entries, and providing detailed financial reports on EPR-E’s performance.

What you’ll be doing…

• Supporting the Finance Manager through monthly accounts closing and producing financial statements, and financial reporting to mother company in France.
• Supporting the procurement team with verifying invoices and resolving billing queries, as required.
• Preparing short term and long term cashflow forecasts.
• Preparing calculations and processing VAT returns to HMRC.
• Liaising with financial auditors and answering audit queries.
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and tracking of intercompany balances.
• Working with other members of finance and procurement on improving finance processes.

Who you are…

Your background may include some of the following:

• Part qualified accountant or Accounting Technician with recognised UK Professional Organisation (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CIMA, AAT).
• Knowledge of UK accounting environment.
• Strong analytical and data analytics skills.
• Good numerical skills.
• Experience of working as a part of finance team in large, complex and matrix organisation.

• Experience of SAP accounting system would be beneficial.
