Deputy Buildings Manager Civil


Bristol (Aztec West) at least 3 days in the office and you will be able to work from home the other 2 days. (flexible according to business and personal requirements) 


This is an excellent opportunity to join Edvance which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, an EPCC established in 2018 in charge of the design (basic design) and the realization (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide. Spearhead of the French nuclear industry, it aims through its objectives and challenges of economic competitiveness and performance, to position itself sustainably in nuclear markets internationally and those of the renewal of the French fleet.


This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Deputy Buildings Manager Civil who will be reporting operationally to the ITB Buildings Manager.

What you’ll be doing…


•    Secure the successful and timely transfer of civil works transverse activities from teams based in France and Germany to UK teams
•    Manage priorities across building teams 
•    Report progress, success and hotspots on civil activities to the ITB Buildings manager and Head of Integrated Team Bristol
•    Manage the relationship with HPC and its contractors, especially the Main Civil Work Contractor


  •   Contact person for HPC Civil DMT and the civil program on design and execution design
  •    Participates to the weekly civil governance meeting for ITB-B scope
  •     Chairs the weekly COPIL management review
  •     Support and help in decision making for on-site civil engineering activities
  •     Supports the building civil teams and/or buildings managers in case of conflict or difficulties with HPC for civil topics

•    Management of commercial aspects with HPC for civil engineering topics
•    Responsible for the management of the civil design contracts (HK1222, UK1226 and UK1229) and operational manager of the associated contract management team
•    Liaise with Discipline team for expert support related to transverse civil topics and for staffing
•    Liaise with JDO Civil discipline lead for topics emanating from site. 
•    Configuration management: ensures that civil related open points are captured in the dedicated tool and properly followed. Also, reviews and validates all civil impacts from design changes
•    Risk management: contributes to the project risk register for civil related risks, defines mitigations and action plans, manages civil transverse EW with the support of the discipline team when needed
