The Opportunity...

 

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

 

For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.

 

As a Contract Manager, you will be a representative of the central CNEPE Contract Management team for the EPRE SZC CI-BOP team’s activities. In this role, you will operate in accordance with procedures ensuring alignment with contractual obligations. Your primary focus will be advising and supporting the EPRE SZC CI-BOP team, contributing to the seamless execution of contractual duties.

What you’ll be doing…

 

  • Providing advice and support to the EPRE SZC CI-BOP team, including participation in drafting contractual documents such as Early Warnings (EW), Notification of Compensation Event (NCE), Compensation Events (CE), and Variations (VAR).
  • Conducting training and raising awareness within the team on the requirements of the NSA contract.
  • Defining the services of the NSA contract and associated activities, monitoring contractual actions, and reporting progress.
  • Participating in drafting the task order between SZC and CNEPE, as well as the work order between CNEPE and EPRE.
  • Collaborating with the SZC project controller to participate in risk management processes, analysing costs, and assessing key performance indicators (KPIs).

Who you are…

 

Your background may include some of the following:

  • Degree in engineering, project management, or related field.
  • Previous experience in contract management, including drafting and discussing contracts with clients, and drafting contractual documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage numerous interfaces and synthesize complex information pragmatically.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with an open mind and readiness to work in a multi-cultural context with multiple stakeholders, often with competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
