Are you comfortable troubleshooting complex systems on-site and implementing effective solutions to ensure timely project delivery?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as our next Configuration Engineer at Hinkley Point C!

The Opportunity

As our next Configuration Engineer, you’ll be working within The Configuration Management Function which plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and control of the HPC Nuclear Power Plant design, which is essential for the timely and effective delivery of the overall project schedule. This team helps drive progress by ensuring that designs consistently meet agreed-upon requirements and are accurately reflected in the physical installation, known as the “as-built” configuration. Your work here will be crucial in maintaining clarity and coherence throughout the project’s lifecycle!

Your role as our next Configuration Engineer is to deliver top-tier engineering support to the HPC Project on behalf of the Configuration Management Function within the NNB Technical Directorate. You'll ensure that the proposed design not only meets high professional standards but also fully complies with UK regulations and context. This role demands exceptional technical and organisational skills, coupled with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to connect and collaborate will be key to driving success in this position!

What you will be doing

As a Configuration Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Configuration Management Function by coordinating HPC's activities within the Configuration Management framework. You'll be instrumental in the routine management of configuration, keeping the Configuration Control Boards informed to ensure transparency on configuration issues across the project. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to innovate and enhance processes and audit arrangements, making a significant impact on the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations!
