The Opportunity

 

EDF’s UK EPR Design Centre has been created to further develop our nuclear expertise in Britain. It's a centre where leading companies can come together with us to support nuclear power station projects in their design, build and commissioning. This includes Hinkley Point C (HPC), which is under construction, and our proposed Sizewell C (SZC) project. 


As a BIM Coordinator, you’ll assist in delivering design packages for ancillary buildings, roads, underground networks and electrical systems that support the construction of HPC. 

The Role

 

You’ll be responsible for supporting the production of contract specific CAD/ BIM design deliverables, ensuring project requirements are met to cost, quality and time. 


Specifically, you’ll be accountable for:

 

  • Reviewing and accepting Contract Partner deliverables including 2D drawings, 3D models and documentation
  • Contributing to technical CAD/BIM documentation
  • Supporting Contract Partner CAD/BIM teams to implement best practice
  • Implementing data management for specific contracts
  • Providing technical support to Contract Partners and colleagues

The Skills

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate:

 

  • A civil, structural or architectural qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in 3D modelling 
  • Experience on large engineering projects 
  • Firm understanding of engineering principles, able to convert design information into 2D and 3D models
  • Experience using a variety of CAD and BIM tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, etc
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
