The Managing Director’s Office (MDO) serves as the central point of contact for key stakeholders, including EDF Group, CGN, and the UK Government, fostering strong relationships. As the Strategic Reporting Specialist in the MD’s Office, you will support the Managing Director and Hinkley Point C’s (HPC) Executive Team by preparing strategic materials and reports, with a focus on senior-level interactions with EDF Group.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain a strategic overview of the HPC project, work closely with senior leaders, and develop your career within HPC or the wider EDF network.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be a proactive individual to support the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Managing Director and Executive Team in their engagement with the EDF Group. This role involves developing key supporting materials, preparing regular HPC reports, and contributing to important documents such as the Universal Registration Document and EDF Book of Appendices. You will work closely with delivery teams and departments, ensuring a coordinated approach by sharing insights and aligning efforts with the Strategic Reporting Lead and MD’s Office Analysts. Additionally, you will undertake the HPC’s reporting for the Jaitapur Nuclear Power Plant project and coordinate stakeholder site visits, including those involving the EDF Group, government representatives, and SZC.
Managing the updates to the Project Execution and Business Plan, ensuring consistency across programmes and directorates. A key part of the role is effectively communicating HPC’s vision, milestones, and objectives to stakeholders.
Who you are
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong presentation, communication, and influencing skills. Exceptional written communication is essential, particularly in preparing reports and presentations. You’ll have a collaborative mindset, demonstrating discretion, emotional intelligence, and resilience. Have three A-levels at grade C or above (or an equivalent qualification) and possess strong numerical and analytical skills to interpret business requirements, identify patterns, and conceptualise processes. Ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of projects will be a key part of this role.
Experience in strategic reporting and stakeholder management is essential, along with confidence in analysing data and presenting key insights to the business. The ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable reports is crucial. Additional qualifications in compliance, auditing, or knowledge of the energy industry would be beneficial. A Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship or an equivalent certification would also be advantageous.
