Hinkley Point C – Business and Professional

As the UK faces a critical time in its energy future, the construction of Hinkley Point C marks the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations that will not only provide 7% of the UK’s generation needs, but also create 25,000 employment opportunities. A huge infrastructure project, the station will not only provide secure, low-carbon energy for the next 60 years, powering over 5 million homes, but also provide education, skills and training for local communities and a significant boost to the UK’s supply chain.

Rewards and benefits

In addition to a competitive salary, generous holiday allowance and annual company bonus when targets are met, we offer our employees a flexible benefits package, allowing you to select a combination of benefits that appeal most to you. Here is an overview of the types of benefits you could receive if you join EDF Energy.

Health & wellbeing. You may choose to incorporate Private Healthcare Insurance, Dental Insurance, Health Screening or Healthcare Cash Plan as part of your benefits package. You may also choose to incorporate Critical Illness Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance or Travel Insurance as part of your benefits package.

Lifestyle balance. You may choose to incorporate Holiday Trading, Payroll Giving or Dining Card benefits as part of your benefits package.

Smart savings. You may choose to incorporate childcare vouchers, retail vouchers or our cycle to work scheme as part of your benefits package. You’ll also be eligible for discounts from a broad range of high street name retailers.

Keeping your skills up to date is essential, and so EDF Energy offers continuous opportunities to develop. In addition to the standard EDF Energy induction training, there are also opportunities to take on additional duties. Qualifications are open to everyone and it’s up to you to decide how much you’d like to take on and how far you want to go in your role.

Bridgewater House in Bristol is the home of the Delivery Command Centre and provides a base for a large part of our Hinkley Point C project team.

Having a dedicated project building will provide a focal point for all the delivery teams and allow us to operate as one team as we interact with the Engineering Command Centre in France and Site Command Centre at Hinkley Point C.

You might also be based at Hinkley Point C where we are building two UK-EPR Reactors over the next decade, Sizewell C – the building and commercial launch of two UK-EPR reactors in Suffolk or at The Qube in London where support staff for Sizewell C are housed.
