Our teams

Data & Tech

The engineering community within our Customers business delivers and manages the solutions that power our: customer channel services, core back-end CRM and billing operations, our forecasting and optimisation of energy markets and our smart home & electric vehicle solutions.

We’ve been on a cloud transformation journey for a couple of years and we recognise the power and agility of an internal engineering capability that is deployed within our business / product teams.

Join us on this journey as we migrate and evolve our IT landscape into the cloud - We’re looking for great engineers to help us do this.

CIO

Our highly-skilled ESAC team is made up of business consultants, IT security specialists and IT architects. The ESAC team define and drive strategy, make sure our architecture is futureproofed and deliver change and continuous improvement.

ESAC are based across the country, with regular travel to different locations.

IT Operations

IT Operations is made up of three teams: the Infrastructure Supplier Management team, the Service Management team and the Business Services team. When it comes to recruiting for IT Operations, we look for professionals with strong commercial skills – people that can understand the needs of the business and how their role fits into the bigger picture.

IT Operation's main current locations are Plymouth, London, Crawley, and Barnwood.

Training

As part of the Data, Tech and IT community, you’ll have plenty of formal training opportunities and will be fully supported as you work towards key industry standard qualifications within your role – qualifications like ITIL.

Locations

IT Operation's main current locations are Plymouth, London (this location may change in the near future), Crawley, and Barnwood.

Our Data and Tech opportunities are based in Hove, Crawley, Croydon, London and Exeter.

ESAC operate a very flexible model, and therefore new entrants to the team could be based anywhere, with travel required to ensure the business is appropriately fully supported.

Central Functions insights

We employ over 12,000 people in the UK and have a very diverse, multidisciplinary workforce. As we both produce AND supply energy, unlike other energy suppliers we are able to provide more varied opportunities for professionals interested in ‘central functions’.
