Our teams

Generation Finance
Generation Finance focuses on business partnering. It’s a dynamic, varied area, requiring swift adaptation to change to make sure operations are supported and targets are met. Other areas of focus include financial forecasting and planning, investment management and liaising with external bodies.

Customer Finance
Like Generation Finance, Customer Finance operates on a business-partnering model. At its heart, it’s about understanding how to meet the needs of the business area being supported. Teams within Customer Finance include Optimisation, Financial Control, Governance and Compliance, Energy Markets and Credit Risk, along with other business unit-facing teams. Typical roles include Analyst and Senior Analyst although there are some managerial roles as well, such as Director.

Corporate Finance
In Corporate Finance we have a range of specialist teams alongside more generalist finance areas such as finance business partnering and financial control. From Mergers & Acquisitions to Tax, Internal Audit to Risk & Control, they cover a broad and essential range of functions at EDF Energy.

We see finance as essential to our business success, so it’s not surprising that we offer plenty of useful and valuable ways to develop your career and skills. We may support your study towards formal financial qualifications – for example CIMA and ACCA as key to your development. As well as this, you’ll find a range of leadership development courses, aimed both at those with no leadership experience and those who join the business as a manager and want to develop further.

If you are already CIMA qualified (or equivalent), there’s an opportunity (if relevant to the role) to take specialist exams, for example within Tax or Insurance, or to become a qualified auditor. For finance professionals working in Generation Finance, we offer specific training covering some of the more complex aspects of this area, including training around operational features of the business, as well as financial elements.

Our Finance teams are spread across the country with key locations in the South East, Gloucester and East Kilbride:
