Work Insight Programme

Through the Social Mobility Foundation's Aspiring Professionals Programme we're offering the opportunity to develop your employability skills and gain experience working at EDF Energy.

If you’re currently in Year 12, have an interest in science or business and would like to get a real insight into the world of energy, our Work Insight Programme will be perfect for you. Over two years, you’ll be given the opportunity to spend time at EDF Energy and gain an insight into different careers and opportunities available to you.

What we’re looking for

• You're in Year 12 and live within an hour of Sizewell Power Station in Suffolk, or Hinkley Point C Power Station in Somerset

• You've been eligible for free school meals at some point during your secondary schooling, or are the first generation in your family to attend university in the UK and attend a school on this list

• You obtained four A grades at GCSE at a school with a 50% or lower GCSE pass rate

• You are predicted at least ABB at A-Level

What we’re looking for

• Biology and Chemistry applicants must be studying two of the following subjects: Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics

• Engineering and Physics applicants must be studying Maths or Further Maths, and Physics 

• We consider exceptions for those that have had disruption to their studies. If you are, or have been, a child in care, please read the eligibility information here
