Digital Industrial Placement

EDF has ambitious objectives for our digital future. Digital channels are already our principal customer contact route, and we aim to grow their volume, breadth and quality in line with our aim to place digital and data at the centre of all our activity.

Samantha Mettrop’s experience, Digital Industrial Placement

“I took the opportunity to complete a placement at EDF because I knew it would give me the opportunity to contribute to something outside of my degree. I’m passionate about the environment and the energy industry is going through a massive change to provide low carbon energy. EDF is currently leading the way in terms of making this a reality.

I wanted a placement where I wasn’t going to be given the mundane work that nobody else wanted to do. This programme offers me the chance to contribute in ways that would actually make a difference to the company.  At university you can be made to feel like nothing matters apart from meeting your deadlines, here I’m treated in a manner where I come first and my work comes second; it’s really refreshing and has made me a lot happier.”
