During the course of this 4-year Degree Apprenticeship, you'll follow the Level 6 Laboratory Scientist Apprenticeship Standard and your time will be split between your studies and on the job learning at your EDF location. As well as all the support you need, you’ll also enjoy plenty of opportunities to get involved in meaningful and challenging work once your studies are underway. That doesn’t mean you’ll have too much on your plate. You’ll have to put a lot of work in to manage your studies and your day-to-day duties but as you’ll be on block release from work when you’re studying, we can make sure we manage your workload accordingly.

During the apprenticeship you will be working within the Chemistry team at Sizewell B Power Station.  Your time will be split between your EDF workplace and Manchester Metropolitan University.
