Are you experienced in leading multi-disciplinary teams through the entire project lifecycle, from design to commissioning? Are you familiar with managing projects in the field of Lifting and Handling within a large-scale construction environment like HPC? Are you skilled in overseeing projects that involve the coordination of design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities?

The Opportunity…

 

As our next Project Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the successful completion of various project phases, from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all activities align with the project schedule while upholding strict standards of safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

 

Reporting directly to a Senior Project Manager, you'll lead the charge in directing the entire life cycle delivery of your assigned contract or work package. It's an opportunity to be at the forefront of project management, making tangible contributions to the project's overall success.

What you’ll be doing…

 

In this role, you'll play a vital part in securing project resources, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, and driving the delivery of contract activities. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you'll assist in developing and implementing strategies aligned with the overall programme execution plan.

 

Your daily responsibilities include anticipating and resolving issues, managing project progress, and ensuring contractual requirements are met as well as:

 

  • Develop and implement strategies in line with the programme execution plan
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and execute project strategies
  • Drive the delivery of contract activities, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence
  • Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues, identifying and mitigating risks
  • Maintain and update programme budgets, escalating issues as needed
  • Interface with other programmes to ensure project alignment and adopt best practices

 

Who you are…

 

As a professional in complex project management, we’re looking for you to bring a wealth of knowledge in leadership and a strong grasp of various project management tools. Your proficiency in applying estimating, scheduling, programming and risk will be essential to deliver the requirements of this project. Possessing excellent presentation, influencing, and facilitation skills, you understand the intricacies of nuclear quality assurance and control.

 

While a degree in engineering, construction, or a related field is desirable, your demonstrated project management experience in engineering design, contract and field execution strategies, multi-discipline projects, construction activities, procurement, and management of complex contracts will be paramount in this role.
